THE WHY

Employee turnover is up 20% and according to US Labor Statistics, employee productivity has had the largest decline in 50 years. This is one of the many impacts of irrational and disruptive behavior. Now more than ever, people are arguing and debating, significantly impacting relationships and the bottom line. When leaders repeatedly encounter irrational behavior, passion for the work and overall engagement decreases. Ultimately, good people leave our organizations and we spend financial resources and recruiting time on the endless treadmill of filling open positions.

There is a new way to solve this old problem. Behavior change happens when the experience of learning something new breaks through the barrier of “the way we’ve always done it.” By applying the Brain Science of human behavior, Eric M. Bailey provides progressive strategies for understanding and dealing with irrational behavior. He has developed practical tools to improve communication and improve interpersonal efficacy. These powerful principles will inspire creativity and build an intentional culture of trust, decreasing disruptive behavior.

“Understanding people, and making people feel understood IS one of the most underrated leadership ability.” - Eric M. Bailey

“The problem with constantly debating is that we spend most of our time trying to win (and make them lose). Imagine what the world would look like if instead, our goal was trying to understand them and the context surrounding the conversation.”

The Cure for Stupidity: Using Brain Science to Explain Irrational Behavior

Understanding Why They Don’t Understand You

Economists tell us that given the opportunity, people will behave rationally. If you’re anything like me, you have countless examples DAILY of people behaving irrationally! What would the world look like if we could cure the stupidity around us? Imagine freedom from frustration. Imagine the peace. This session, based on Eric M. Bailey’s bestselling book, can fix that. This session can change your life.

I Think Therefore I Err

Overcoming the natural barriers to communication
Overcoming the natural barriers to achievement
Overcoming the natural barriers to leadership

There are two things that get in the way of our success when dealing with other people: Our Mouths and Our Brains.

If not for those two things… In this session we will learn to recognize the natural human reactions that cause upset, frustration, and interpersonal tension.

Change vs. The Brain: A New Conversation on Change Management

It is not news that the world is changing, but the rate of change is changing exponentially. We are at a point in time where technology and expectations are changing faster than humans can adapt to change. This session will walk through the brain science behind change.

My favorite session! I laughed, I thought, I recognized what I could improve on and I started to realize...I’m not always right (unless my partner ever reads this...then I am!) Eric is an incredible speaker and so engaging. I took away a lot especially around perception. Thank you!

We’ve been having the WRONG Conversation about Millennials

Revisiting a Conversation Generations in the Making

Millennials are _________. The first thing that comes to mind is probably something negative (entitled, lazy, tech-obsessed) or possibly something positive (creative, empowered, principle-driven). Either way, if this is the conversation you’re having about Millennials, you’re having the wrong conversation. This session will dive deep into how the Millennial conversation is an analogy to our divided society and we will look at why we call them Millennials in the first place (hint, it’s to help identify us vs. them).

Not Another Team Building!: Trust, Empathy, and the Pursuit of Teamwork

Organizations waste so much time and money doing “team building” exercises in hopes that a ropes course or a trust fall will be powerful enough to combat the real culture deficiencies like a lack of trust, communication errors, and work ethic. This session will explore and leverage the brain science that leads to highly functional teams.
